The Rock Trust, Children in Scotland and Rossie Young People’s Trust to share in £24,000

Three charities which assist children and young people in Scotland have benefitted from a share of the profits of an independent Scottish law firm.

Gillespie Macandrew, which has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth, has donated £24,000, equivalent to 1% of its pre-tax profits, to The Rock Trust, Children in Scotland and Rossie Young People’s Trust.

Staff in the firm also donated £1,880 raised through their own events and regularly volunteer their time in support of the charities’ activities.

The Rock Trust, which works in Edinburgh and the Lothians with young people between the ages of 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, received the largest share of £12,000.

Its chief executive Kate Polson, said: “We are delighted by Gillespie Macandrew’s support for our work with the growing numbers of young people who need assistance, helping us to end youth homelessness in Scotland.”
