Police confirmed a 57-year-old had been apprehended
Police Scotland have confirmed a man has been arrested and charged over “communications offences” after an investigation into a Fife charity.
The 57-year-old was apprehended by cops as part of an inquiry into Dalgetty Bay charity, That Place in the Bay.
Fife Voluntary Action confirmed in April that a closure had been undertaken amid "governance and managerial concerns which needed to be addressed as a matter of urgency".
The Facebook page for the charity has ben removed, and reports were made to the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) and Police Scotland.
Now, the confirmation of an arrest in connection with “communications offences” has come from police.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Dunfermline Press: “A 57-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with communications offences in the Fife area.
“A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
An OSCR spokesperson told the Courier: “Our consideration of concerns raised about the charity is ongoing.”
