New deputy chief for major Scottish foundation

Carolyn Sawyers will move the the Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland in August ahead of the announcement of its new brand

Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland has appointed Carolyn Sawers to the post of deputy chief executive.

Sawyers will join the foundation in August from the Big Lottery Fund and brings with her a deep understanding of the issues facing people, communities and charities in Scotland.

She has led the development of many significant funding programmes, as well as being a highly respected contributor within the Scottish policy landscape.

Foundation chief executive Fiona Duncan said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Carolyn to the team.

"She joins at a time when many in Scotland are facing complex challenges and significant uncertainty. It is more important than ever that we work collaboratively and with determination to achieve lasting positive change and I know that is a determination that Carolyn brings in spades.

"Carolyn has a clear passion for making a difference and brings a deep commitment to the foundation’s values and mission. I speak for the whole team when I say how much we are looking forward to working with her.”
