Venue, date and new partnership award announced for 2015

Nominations are now open for this year’s Arts and Business Scotland Awards, celebrating outstanding collaborations between the cultural and business sectors.

In a change to previous years, the event will now take place in February with the new date of Wednesday, 3 February 2016 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.

The awards recognise excellence through partnerships and this year a new category has been added for environmental sustainability.

This is in addition to the five existing partnerships categories which are people, placemaking, digital innovation, entrepreneurship and international.

As well as rewarding outstanding and creative partnerships between arts organisations and businesses, the awards recognise key individuals and projects which have made a significant contribution to the arts in the previous year with several additional awards.

Arts and Business Scotland’s chief executive David Watt said: “The search is now on for the most creative, innovative and successful collaborations between the cultural and business sectors. In recent years we have seen the bar raised to an impressively high standard with the scope and success of the partnerships exceeding expectations.

“We’re thrilled to be in the position once again to be inviting nominations for our Awards which recognise and celebrate partnership working at its very best.”

Nominations will close at midnight on 9th August and the shortlist will be announced in September.
