The Mind’s Well is providing free online sessions this festive season

A social enterprise is aiming to help ease festive stress this Christmas.

The Mind’s Well is providing a series of free virtual healing classes to help bring people together to combat loneliness at a time when so many are experiencing fragile mental health on the countdown to Christmas.

Aimed at creating positive community supports online throughout the festive season and into January 2021, the online healing pods have been designed to help make sure nobody struggles on their own, by offering new creative wellbeing opportunities.

Get creative by trying your hand at making sustainable festive crafts, gain the latest tips on skincare and make-up routines, experience the power of yoga through movement, and gain valuable insights into your mental health and wellbeing. With some students unable to travel home this Christmas, The Mind’s Well is also offering a weekly hub for students to meet up virtually to take part in fun creative and practical sessions to help develop a positive network of sharing and kindness.

Maria Naranjo, founder and chief executive of The Mind’s Well, said: “This year has been deeply challenging for everyone and has brought so many mental health issues to the surface. As part of our mission to help support and empower people to take control of their own mental health, our series of festive healing pods have been designed to give people a taster of what we provide every day. We want people to know that they don’t need to struggle on their own, that we are here for them in times of need, if not in person, but virtually.”

Daniela Poblate, who started her journey with The Mind’s Well for support and who now provides peer support, added: “Finding The Mind’s Well has been undoubtedly one of the best things that has happened to me this year and in my life. I found refuge and a safe place where I am not afraid to be myself which continues to motivate me to overcome my fears and embrace life. Through support from my mentor and the wonderful team, I continue to work hard on my road to healing and this festive season I’m thrilled to be able to give back by supporting the new healing pods.”

Join The Mind Well’s festive virtual healing pods for free today for the first step towards starting a new journey towards positive mental health.
