A report was produced on Leuchie House in East Lothian.
A Scottish respite care charity has received a glowing report from the Care Inspectorate.
Leuchie House in East Lothian was inspected in March, and was given an ‘Excellent’ rating by the care standards body.
The North Berwick charity provides a space to give families a break from the physical and emotional responsibilities of caring for a loved one.
In their report, the Care Inspectorate gave Leuchie House an ‘Excellent’ rating for how well they support people’s wellbeing - the highest rating available.
The report states: “The provision of activities in Leuchie House was excellent. Activities were varied and considered the abilities and preferences of individual people using the service.
“The use of technology was innovate and supported wellbeing for people in and beyond their stay at Leuchie House.
“We evaluated this key question as excellent where performance was sector leading with outstandingly high outcomes for people.”
They were also ranked as ‘Very Good’, the second-highest rating, for the quality of its staff.
The Care Inspectorate wrote: “We found significant strengths in aspects of the care provided and how these supported positive outcomes for people, therefore we evaluated this key question as very good.”
