The #connect23 series will kick off in Edinburgh this month.

Scotland’s national membership organisation for the voluntary sector has announced plans for a series of events offering transformative digital inclusion work.

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) will hold four day-long sessions across the country - as well as training online - as part of its #connect23 campaign.

The project, launched on Thursday, will explore Scotland’s digital landscape and think about ways we can work together to form a network of organisations passionate about doing digital well.

The events will take place in Edinburgh, Inverness, Dundee, and Glasgow, with the first ot be held in the capital on March 23 at the Dovecot Studios

The project is aimed at people who have an interest in, or who are actively working in, digital inclusion and digital evolution across communities in Scotland.

Aaron Slater, SCVO digital inclusion manager, said: “Understanding and developing good practice will be key as we create a digitally confident and inclusive voluntary sector in Scotland.

“These events will provide a chance to network, share ideas and discuss your own projects as we consider the barriers and blockers you all face.

“If you have an interest in, or are actively working in, digital inclusion and digital evolution across communities in Scotland we’d love to see you at one of our sessions across Scotland, or online in the coming months.

“Join us as we explore Scotland’s digital landscape and think about how we can work together to form a network of organisations passionate about doing digital well.”
