Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning returns next weekend
Sea lions Poppy and Bella gave their seal of approval to Macmillan Cancer Support’s largest fundraising event - World’s Biggest Coffee Morning - which t is set to return next week.
The sea lions at Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park, near Stirling, showed off their party tricks balancing inflatable coffee mugs on their noses and in their flippers.
All money raised by World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which takes place on Friday 29 September, will help Macmillan continue to provide emotional, financial, medical and practical support to the growing number of people living with cancer.
National treasures Julie Waters, Judi Dench and Joanna Lumley are just a few of the celebrities who have also backed the event.
The charity is asking people to #raiseamug to mark the event. Having raised over £29.5 million in 2016, Macmillan hopes that this year’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning will result in an even high total being amassed.
Macmillan supporter Dame Julie said: “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is ingenious, simple and fun and is all about people coming together. Whether it’s friends and family, or colleagues at work, getting involved is easy and you’ll be doing something extraordinary to help Macmillan support people living with cancer.”
