There was controversy this week when a survey was launched into begging in Glasgow.

The poll, commissioned by Community Safety Glasgow – a body made up of Police Scotland and the city council - asks about attitudes to beggars and people’s experiences of aggressive or hostile behaviour.

However, Frank Hardie, a street pastor, says this survey highlights begging as a problem and isn’t concerned with solutions to homelessness.
