There was some debate on social media this week after Show Racism the Red Card said that more than half of Irish people in Scotland have experienced anti-Irish sentiment.
The charity said a study of 513 Irish people in Scotland showed that 56% said they had experienced the abuse and six in 10 said that they had witnessed anti-Irish racism.
This provoked some debate on Twitter and elsewhere when it was reported by TFN.
Some said that this is a result of Scotland’s toxic legacy of sectarianism. But many also denied it was a problem at all.
That’s why we’re asking: does Scotland have a problem with anti-Irish racism?
