DigiShift 50 - Agile communications with Giles Turnbull

SCVO

This event is in the past

A former member of the Government Digital Service's influential creative team, Giles has also worked for a number of UK government departments (including HM Land Registry, Department for Education, Homes England and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs). An ex-journalist, Giles has written for the BBC, The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, MacUser, Time and the Press Association, where he wrote a syndicated column about the internet for 14 years.

The agile comms handbook is about communication that happens as fast as the work does. It covers things like:

  • communication by teams, for the benefits of other teams
  • blogging as a tool for institutional memory
  • clarity as a tool for digital transformation
  • writing for people and teams who don’t see themselves as “writers”

This DigiShift will feature an overview of Giles Turnbull's new book and an audience Q&A

Introduction to The agile comms handbook

Who is the event aimed at?

This event is for organisations that want to make the comms happen as fast as the work does. It’s also for people, teams and leaders who can’t understand why they’re not being understood. And it’s for anyone working on something who wants to document progress on it in real time.
