The Right to Adequate Housing: what does this mean for people with complex care and support needs - SFHA in partnership with the Housing LIN

The ‘right to adequate housing’ is a human right recognized in international human rights law and a right to an adequate home is central to the Scottish Governments Housing Policy as set out in Housing to 2040. So, what soes this mean for people with complex care and support needs stuck in long term hospital beds or in residential placements miles from family and community?

How can we ensure that people with complex needs have access to good quality housing with the care and support they need to live successfully in the community?

This webinar will explore one example of a partnership approach across housing, health, and care to provide a solution for people with complex care and support needs. It will provide an opportunity to:

- hear about the progress of the implementation of the 'Coming Home ' Report

- share good practice in one example of a partnership approach in Moray which delivers a Housing, Care and Support solution in the community for people with complex needs

- hear about the impact of success and lessons learned from someone with lived experience

- discuss the challenges, successes, and lessons

Who should attend?

This session will be of interest to people involved in the planning, development and delivery of housing care and support services including Civil Servants, Local Authorities/HSCPs Commissioners, Care & Support Providers, Housing Associations and Local Authority Housing Staff, Social Care staff, Service users & Carers and Disability Organisations.
