Sip & Paint with Rachele Cavina

The Melting Pot

🎨 Join the artist Rachele Cavina for an evening of creativity and body positivity exploration over a glass of wine or a soft drink.

See below for a message from Rachele on what to expect during this event:

Since last November, I’ve had the privilege of running Sip and Paint workshops, and this holiday season, I’m excited to focus on body positivity, wellness, and embracing confidence during the festive period. As the holidays often come with expectations, festive meals, and gatherings, this workshop is part of a series designed to help participants feel empowered and comfortable in their own skin, even when feeling the social norms pressure on occasions such as reconnecting with people they may not see often. Drawing from my experience as a painter who explores the connection between the body, mind, and emotions, these workshops offer a space for self-expression through art, where participants can use vibrant colors and layered techniques to reflect their inner beauty. Using acrylics on small canvases or paper, I will guide you in creating pieces that celebrate your unique form, while fostering conversations around body acceptance and self-confidence. Whether preparing for holiday events or simply navigating the festive season, these sessions are an opportunity to focus on mindfulness and personal empowerment, all while sipping on a glass of wine or soft drink in a relaxed, creative and safe environment.

Artist statement:

I am a painter inspired by the relationship, the struggles, and triumph of the human body and mind. My paintings are a celebration of colour and an emotional exploration of the human nature and its relationship with the surroundings and how they generate emotions interacting.

My work is a mixture of oil painting, acrylics and ink on canvas and paper, following a process of layering to generate visual depth and unique colour shades.

My paintings are often human figures, but not restricting my expression I intend to connect with the viewer looking beneath the surface of my work to discover an emotional and personal layer they can relate to. My own experience influences my paintings and I hope to evoke a sense of wonder and awe to invite the viewer to consider the beauty and complexity of the bodies we live in.
