Consultation: Scotland's public electric vehicle charging network
Fife Climate Hub
This event is in the past
Event Description:
Join us for an engaging and informative session where we explore the vital role of electric vehicles (EVs) in addressing the climate emergency. As we transition toward a low-carbon future, public EV charging infrastructure is a cornerstone of sustainable transport systems.
We are thrilled to host Gordon Pay, a knowledgeable advocate for sustainable transport and EV vehicles who will explain the importance of EVs in reducing emissions, improving air quality, and supporting Scotland’s climate targets. The discussion will highlight how EVs fit into the broader goals of sustainable transport and the pressing need for clean energy solutions in the face of climate change.
This event will also focus on Transport Scotland’s Draft Implementation Plan for public EV charging infrastructure. Transport Scotland is seeking public input through a consultation, and your voice can help shape Scotland’s EV future. We’ll explain why this consultation matters and how it impacts communities, businesses, and the environment.
Together, we’ll work on a collective response to the consultation on behalf of Fife Climate Hub, ensuring that our community’s perspective is represented.
What to Expect:
Expert talk on the climate benefits of EV.
Overview of Scotland’s Vision for a public EV charging network.
Guided session to answer the public consultation together.
Who Should Attend:
This event is open to anyone interested in sustainable transport, electric vehicles, and shaping the future of Scotland’s EV charging infrastructure. Whether you’re an EV owner, a climate advocate, or simply curious about the topic, your input is valuable.
How to Prepare:
We encourage attendees to review Transport Scotland’s consultation paper in advance to familiarize themselves with the key proposals.
