DigiShift 88: building successful digital campaigns in changing times

SCVO

Overview

In 2025, the social media and wider digital landscape continues to change more rapidly than ever. In this expert-led session, we’ll look at how to build successful digital campaigns in 2025, covering the core insights, strategies, and approaches you need to thrive in a rapidly changing environment - in particular recent changes to Meta and X.

We’re joined by Nick Chowdrey, a creative digital mobilisation expert who has driven impactful campaigns across the third sector including organisations like WaterAid, and Valeriia Voshchevska, an audience strategist known for her data-driven approach to modern communications at Amnesty International.

This online session will cover a range of topics, including:

  • Trends for 2025: understand the latest innovations and how to use them to boost your impact
  • Data-driven strategy: learn how to use analytics effectively to inform your campaign decisions and target your audience effectively
  • Online spaces becoming more politicised: with Meta rolling back content moderation and recommending political content on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, we’ll explore how this shift could influence digital campaigns. This controversial move is opening the floodgates for echo chambers but also presents opportunities to amplify progressive causes and vital third sector messaging
  • Choosing channels and platforms: with more organisations transitioning away from platforms like X (Twitter), discover how to choose the best platforms for your goals
