Making online meetings better
SCVO
We leverage ideology, methodologies, frameworks, and tools from the tech sector to empower the voluntary sector. Our aim is to enable the sector to seamlessly integrate digital practices as a fundamental core capability, rather than treating them as exceptional tools for rare circumstances. This support extends to voluntary sector organisations of all sizes, ensuring they can consistently deliver high-quality digital services.

OverviewIn today’s work environment, meetings have significantly increased, with the average person spending twice as much time in meetings compared to 2019. Hybrid workers, in particular, spend about 50% of their time in meetings, making it crucial to ensure these meetings are productive.
However, 71% of people feel that most meetings are pointless, leading to frustration and disengagement. Excessive meetings also contribute to higher stress levels, negatively impacting well-being and overall productivity.
This session will explore practical ways to reduce unnecessary meetings, improve engagement, and make online meetings more effective - helping teams work smarter, not harder.
Overall aimSession aims:
- Keep everyone engaged - learn simple ways to make online meetings more interactive, so people stay involved and don’t tune out
- Make meetings smoother and more productive - get tips on planning and running meetings that are clear, efficient, and don’t waste time
- Use tech to your advantage - find out how to make the most of online tools to improve communication and teamwork.
