In this short course, our resident fundraising expert will guide you through all the core aspects of building an effective fundraising plan so that you can achieve long-term sustainability.

Morning Only

The morning session covers foundational knowledge and key components of any fundraising plan. We will introduce the concept of the fundraising audit, and explore creative approaches to diversify income streams, motivate giving and encourage whole team collaboration for maximum impact.
Full Day Course
£110 Includes lunch and exclusive template tools and guidance
Our full day course builds on the introductory themes covered in the morning session and offers practical support to start building your tailored fundraising plan. We will consider your long-term organisational vision, strategy and budgets and work through stages of the fundraising audit using worked examples. Through our exclusive template tool, we will demonstrate how to create an adaptable action plan that fits your needs.

These sessions are primarily for third-sector leaders or anyone responsible for fundraising or income generation in their voluntary organisation. We highly recommend taking the opportunity to join the full day to get the maximum benefit from your time with our Funding Advice Officer and network with peers in the sector.
About the facilitator
Our fundraising officer June at a GCVS networking event
Our Funding Advice Officer, June Burgess, has many years of experience as a skilled fundraiser within several well-known Scottish charities. June is a member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising and holds the Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration (CiCLA) from the Institute of Legacy Management. Since joining GCVS in 2021, June has supported hundreds of groups in Glasgow with their fundraising plans.
