The Employment Rights Bill will bring a number of changes to employment legislation and good practice. This training forms part of our series of sessions to help employers prepare for the upcoming changes. This session has been created by our HR Advice Service and is tailored to voluntary sector employers.
This session is aimed at employers and is suitable for managers, Board Members and those with HR responsibilities.
The Employment Rights Bill will remove the 3 waiting days for Statutory Sick Pay. This means that employees will qualify for Statutory Sick Pay from day 1 of their absence. This may lead to more frequent short terms absences in your organization. This type of absence can be difficult to manage. Often employees don’t have an underlying health condition and it can be difficult to ascertain why they have frequent absences. Or sometime there is an underlying health condition and it can be difficult to understand how this impacts how you managing frequent absences. This session will give you the knowledge you need to manage short term absence with confidence.
