Preparing for change: managing redundancy with clarity and compassion
SCVO
This 60-minute webinar will be a mix of instructional and interactive. There will be a power point presentation and two speakers (Lorna Robertson, SCVO's HR service adviser and Caroline Christie. SCVO's Head of HR). There will be a Q&A section too.
While we encourage the use of cameras, we understand you may feel more comfortable switching yours off, the decision is yours. During the session, we will likely have a breakout session where discussion is required. Due to its sensitive nature, this webinar will not be recorded.
OverviewOne of the most common queries we get in the HR service is: "We're waiting on an outcome from our funding application. If we don't get it, we might need to make redundancies. Help!"
This is a situation we never want to be in - it's distressing and uncomfortable for all involved. And it's exactly why we're holding this session. Managing redundancies with compassion and clarity is vital for those affected and that's only possible when those managing the process are prepared.
Join SCVO's HR service team for this webinar to learn more about the legal requirements and best practice relating to organisational change and redundancies.
Overall aimThe aim of this webinar is to empower and prepare organisational leaders to successfully manage (and potentially avoid) redundancy situations relating to funding and structural changes. We'll cover planning, exploring all alternatives, communication and legal compliance.
Who is the event aimed at?This webinar is aimed at anyone who may need to manage an organisational change or redundancy situation in their organisation, including senior managers and trustees.
