Isle of Lewis Roadshow Event
The Scottish Women's Convention
We’re excited to bring a roadshow event to Stornoway on Tuesday 26th August from 6.30PM to 8.00PM. We also have an lunchtime option on the same day if this time does not suit.
Our Roadshow events are informal roundtable discussions where women can freely talk about the issues that matter most to them in their local community. While the SWC asks broad questions, the discussions are led by the women themselves.
After the event, a report is created and shared with attendees, as well as local and national politicians. The goal is to empower women to use this report to advocate for the changes they want to see in their communities. Information gathered from these discussions also contributes to Scottish and UK Parliament consultations, ensuring women’s voices are heard in decision-making processes.
Come join us for a cuppa and a blether! We’re eager to meet and connect with as many women from the Isle of Lewis as possible.
We aim to create a welcoming and safe space for all attendees. We understand that some topics discussed may be sensitive, so these events are open to women only.
