Managing conflict and maintaining positive trustee relationships
SCVO
OverviewAs a collective group of decision makers, it’s important that trustees develop positive relationships and work well together. Good governance is vital and clear roles, policies and procedures can help prevent and deal with disputes.
But trustees are passionate people who often have very different backgrounds and experiences, and sometimes this can lead to situations where communication breaks down and roles and responsibilities become blurred. This is where mediation can help.
Join us to hear from the Third Sector Mediation Service who are marking ten years of ‘engaging positively with conflict on boards’. Find out more about the common themes in board disputes, and how they can derail good governance. Get hints and tips and further resources on how to manage conflict, deal with board dynamics, and initiate difficult conversations.
