Understanding the Prostitution Bill - Conference
The Scottish Women's Convention
Join us for a conference exploring the proposed legislation which aims to criminalise the purchasing of sex, while supporting those involved in prostitution. Women have consistently told the Scottish Women’s Convention (SWC) that they support this kind of legislation.
Come along and listen to speakers who are in support of this Bill including Ash Regan MSP, Rhoda Grant MSP and Linda Thompson of the Women’s Support Project. You will have the opportunity to discuss the bill in an open and safe environment to pose your questions and share your experiences. This event will be chaired by Agnes Tolmie the Chair of the SWC.
The SWC supports the Scottish Government’s view that commercial sexual exploitation, including prostitution, is a form of violence against women and girls, and is a key issue in tackling gender inequality.
This event reflects our commitment to amplifying women’s voices and supporting policies that promote equality, dignity, and safety. This event is only open to women to attend, and a free lunch will be provided.
