Waverley Care has appointed Ian Arnot as its new chair. Ian, who currently manages press and corporate affairs for BT in Scotland, joined the board in August 2014 and previously supported the organisation as a volunteer fundraiser. Waverley is looking forward to working closely with Ian to continue to move the organisation forward.

Impact Arts, Scotland’s leading community arts charity, has confirmed a new director following an impressive performance as interim leader. Fiona Doring has been acting director at Impact Arts since early 2015 and has now been officially appointed as director. Fiona’s appointment comes as the charity marks a successful year having delivered 119 projects, programmes and support to over 6,600 people, of which 70% are from some of the most deprived areas in Scotland.

Elma Murray

Elma Murray, the chief executive of North Ayrshire Council, has joined the board of Young Scot, Scotland's national youth information and citizenship charity. Elma brings over 30 years experience in local government to the Young Scot board. As a member of both the Wood Commission National Advisory Group and the Invest in Scotland's Young Workforce Group, Elma has extensive experience in creating opportunities for young people. She said: "Improving the lives of young people is something I am hugely passionate about and my appointment to the board of Young Scot will allow me to help shape the future direction of youth services at a national level."
