Action Group CEO announces retirement after 34 years of service

Linda Tuthill will step down over the next year.

The Action Group has announced its CEO will retire within the next year after an outstanding 34 years with the organisation.

Linda Tuthill first joined The Action Group as a Team Leader in Restalrig and has since played a central role in the life of the charity and the people it supports.

Eight years ago, she was appointed Chief Executive and has since led the organisation with dedication, good humour and resilience, navigating challenges and driving forward growth and innovation.

Chair of the Board Stephen Oliver said: “Linda’s contribution to The Action Group cannot be overstated. Her leadership has been marked by vision, warmth and a deep commitment to inclusion and equality.

“She will be deeply missed by staff, the people we support and the wider community.”

Recruitment for The Action Group’s next Chief Executive will begin in the coming weeks.

With nearly 50 years of history and only two Chief Executives to date, this transition marks an exciting new chapter for the organisation.

Linda will remain in post during the recruitment and handover process to ensure a smooth transition.

The Action Group will be holding farewell celebrations closer to Linda’s departure, and further updates will be shared in due course.
