Scotland’s Housing Network will take on CD Consultancy from next year.

A Scottish housing charity has announced it is to acquire a consultancy group from next year.

Scotland’s Housing Network (SHN) said CD Consultancy (CDC) will join the group from April 1 2025, with the announcement coming at the charity’s annual gathering.

Scottish Housing News reports that SHN and CDC have had a decade-long partnership in validation work and this will represent a continuation of this service.

Christine Dugan, the founder of CDC, will step down after 13 years and is to pass the torch to SHN.

Ross Morris will take the helm of the new services at SHN, following on from Christine’s approach.

The founder of CDC will also stay on through the next financial year to ensure continuity in service.

Ross told Scottish Housing News: “Working with Christine over the last few years has been a true honour, and I have benefited greatly from her knowledge, support and guidance during this time. I look forward now to taking this service forward on behalf of SHN and continuing Christine’s work as a critical friend to the sector.”

Christine Dugan added: “I am thrilled to see CD Consultancy join forces with Scotland’s Housing Network. This acquisition ensures that the high standards and quality of service built over the years will continue to benefit the sector. I have full confidence in SHN’s ability to carry forward CDC legacy and am excited to see the positive impact this merger will have on landlords.”

Andrea Finkel-Gates, CEO of SHN, said: “It has been a privilege to work with Christine over the years and to learn from her vast knowledge and experience. This acquisition is a natural expansion of the services we already offer, having delivered level one validation exercises for many years.

“We are delighted that SHN can ensure this fuller service remains available to the sector, maintaining the exacting standards that landlords have come to expect from CDC. 2025 marks SHN’s 30th anniversary, this is a wonderful way to begin our celebrations.”
