New head to take the helm at north east disability organisation
A disability charity has announced its new chief executive.
Linda Gray (pictured above) will now lead Inspire’s senior management team having been its director of corporate services since 2012.
The charity runs a wide range of services for people with learning disabilities and additional support needs throughout the north-east of Scotland.
Linda said: “I am delighted with my recent appointment. Empowering the life choices of the people we support is a great passion of mine and to be afforded the responsibility to lead the organisation in achieving this vision is a great opportunity and privilege.
“Inspire teams continue to provide an excellent person-centred support, and I hope that my appointment will bring continued stability and a fresh outlook as we work to combat both internal challenges and challenges for the social care sector more widely.”
Gray’s appointment heralds a step-change in the internal organisational structure as Inspire also welcomes John Tomlinson, as director of development on a part-time basis.
Gray added: “John is very well respected within the sector and has vast third sector experience, and I am sure that his influence will help us to set and move towards strategic goals.”
Founded in 1988, Inspire supports over 400 adults and young people, providing services based on individual need.
