New head for funding body

Brings a wealth of experience to the role

Glasgow-based Impact Funding Partners (IFP) has announced its new chief executive.

Cate Nelson-Shaw has worked across the third, private and public sectors, at both executive and board level.

Over the last few years she has been working as a fractional CEO in the arts, transport and economic regeneration sectors.

Prior to this Nelson-Shaw held senior marketing and communications roles in the private sector across a diverse range of industries and founded and ran her own consultancy business.

She has been interim chief executive since November last year.

IFP’s chair, Clare Gibb, said: “After a rigorous recruitment process we are delighted to announce Cate has been appointed as chief executive for the charity.

“She stood out from a field of exceptional candidates and we are pleased Cate will start with us at the end of April”.

Nelson-Shaw will lead the strategic development of IFP, working closely with both colleagues and the board to build on the organisation’s 40 year legacy.

“I am incredibly pleased to be stepping into the permanent role”, she said. “Over the last few months I have seen the teams’ dedication and passion for IFP’s clients and stakeholders and have witnessed first hand the positive impact of the organisation’s relationship funding approach.

“This, and the huge potential in the brand to deliver real and lasting change, really excites me”.

Nelson-Shaw will take over as chief executive on 28 April.
