Two experienced professionals will join the group from next month.
The Scottish Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) has announced two new trustees will join its board.
Steven Naismith and Helen Page will join the charity as board members as of October 1.
Steven is currently the Senior Corporate Finance Manager at Edinburgh Airport - Scotland’s busiest airport.
He brings over a decade of experience in the financial sector and has put his expertise to use in his work with other Scottish charities such as Waverley Care.
Helen’s career has spanned the UK, USA, Europe and Australasia across almost 30 years.
She has worked in a range of sectors including financial, retail, food and drink and charity and, prior to choosing to follow a career in board and advisory earlier this year, Helen was the chief brand officer of Virgin Money UK (formerly Clydesdale Bank) for almost a decade.
During that time, Helen also served as the chair of Virgin Money Giving.
The Scottish SPCA set out a ten-year vision in May this year, For All Animals, in which the charity has set six ambitious targets to make Scotland the best place in the world for animals to be.
This includes reducing instances of unintentional and intentional abuse by half, eliminating the puppy and kitten trade and growing income by 20 per cent to meet the challenges ahead to deliver its key services.
Scottish SPCA chair, Fiona MacLeod, said: “Recruiting Trustees with the acumen and expertise of Steven and Helen is a real coup for the Scottish SPCA.
“Both will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the charity as we embark on a bold vision to transform Scotland for all animals.”
