Oor Wullie bucket trail auctions to take place

This news post is over 4 years old

Three children's hospital charities will be hosting auctions in their regions

The hugely successful Oor Wullie BIG Bucket Trail is coming to an end - with regional charity auctions of the popular sculptures due to take place in the host cities.

Auctions of the statues will act as the finale to the spectacular summer-long art trail enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of residents and visitors to Scotland.

Each children’s hospital charity will be holding their own auction for the sculptures from their regions, plus some special additions.

This will give fans of Oor Wullie and the bucket trail the chance to buy a piece of Scotland’s unforgettable summer and own a unique work of art, whether it be for your home, garden or business.

As well as becoming a very proud owner of a one-of-a-kind Oor Wullie sculpture, buyers will be directly benefitting Scotland’s children’s hospital charities, as money raised from the auctions will be going to the charities.

A spokesperson for the Oor Wullie bucket trail said: “The help you provide will make a real difference for many local children and young people when they most need it. Thank you for your support, and we wish you successful bidding!”

The auctions will be taking place at the following locations:

  • Monday 16 September – Dundee Rep – ARCHIE Foundation’s Dundee Sculptures
  • Tuesday 17 September – Thainstone Centre, Inverurie – ARCHIE Foundation’s Aberdeen & Inverness Sculptures
  • Thursday 19 September – Prestonfield House, Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity’s Edinburgh Sculptures
  • Friday 20 September – KelvingroveArt Gallery, Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity’s Glasgow Sculptures
