The winners of the Brand for Good competition have been revealed

Several Scottish social enterprises are set for a makeover.

Brand for Good is a competition that aims to support social enterprises that struggle to develop the kind of brand that will set the course of future success.

Funded by the Scottish Government as part of the three-year Social Enterprise Action Plan, Building a Sustainable Social Enterprise Sector, Brand for Growth is a competitive programme aimed at ambitious social enterprises with high impact potential who can bring something to the table themselves.

And the winners of this year’s contest have been revealed. The successful candidates for Brand for Growth 2019 are;

• Move On, a charity of over 20 years which work with vulnerable young people and people affected by homelessness to help them unlock their untapped potential.

• Musical Broth, a new social enterprise musical instrument and equipment library.

• RE-make in Crieff, “making great stuff from old stuff”, focusing on both recycling and changing lives.

• The Crags, an Edinburgh based centre facilitating change through sport.

• Silverburn Park (operated by FEAT in Fife) – a green space for everyone in this community.

• Instant Neighbour – supporting the most vulnerable people and families in Aberdeen.

More than 20 applications were made and the judging panel found it challenging to select the successful ones. Decision were taken based on the difference that applicants thought organisations would make in terms of social and financial impact.

The programme is delivered by BOLD, a branding, design and digital agency with specialist expertise in social enterprise the voluntary sector.
