The second Andy Murray Live event will feature Roger Federer in Glasgow's SSE Hydro
Andy Murray has announced he will play Roger Federer in an exciting evening of tennis and entertainment, to raise money for charity.
The world number one announced he is to take on the 18-time grand slam champion in Glasgow in November in aid of Unicef and one local Scottish charity which is yet to be named.
Following the singles match against Federer, who is making his first appearance in Scotland, Murray will be joined by brother Jamie to take on Tim Henman and Mansour Bahrami in a more relaxed doubles challenge.
Tickets went on sale today (Thursday), with half of all seats costing just £25. Last year tickets sold out within 48-hours and demand this year is expected to be even higher.
Murray, who is a Unicef UK ambassador, has partnered with Eurosport, to broadcast the event exclusively across the United Kingdom, Europe and around the world giving even more exposure to the charities.
Murray said: “Last year was such a fantastic night and to raise over £300,000 for Unicef and Young People’s Futures in our first year was amazing.
“This year is going to be even bigger and better and I am so pleased to be able to bring Roger to play in Scotland for the first time – he will get a chance to see for himself just how enthusiastic Scottish fans are, and what a great venue The SSE Hydro is.
“It is also important for me to be able support Unicef again this year, and to help a different local charity as well."
