CPAG in Scotland
This event is in the past
How can you help your service users manage universal credit? Supporting people with an online system, especially if you are working from home, can be difficult. Helping someone to claim universal credit while providing advice over the phone or by email presents new challenges for advisers. Knowing what each step of the online claim looks like and the importance of completing it accurately is a vital part of socially distanced welfare rights.
The course covers:
• How to support claimants to verify their identity
• Completing the universal credit claim effectively
• Requesting advance payments and Scottish choices
This half day introductory level course will be delivered online via Zoom from 10am to 1pm with a half hour break from 11.15 – 11.45.
It is a practical course, delivered using a combination of trainer presentation, exercises and group discussion.
