British Heart Foundation’s 60th birthday special edition Live & Ticking events continue with Heart Surgery Innovation: From Idea to Reality.
BHF Medical Director, Professor Sir Nilesh Samani will be celebrating 60 years of BHF-funded research and looking at a selection of research success stories from the past six decades.
Heart surgeon and research pioneer, BHF Professor Gianni Angelini from the University of Bristol will be sharing the innovative surgical idea that his team turned into a reality.
We’ll also hear the phenomenal story of explorer and BHF Ambassador, Sir Ranulph Fiennes (pictured below left), who Professor Angelini operated on.
