Energy and Fuel Poverty in Midlothian: Advice and Discussion

Midlothian Financial Inclusion Network

This event is in the past

An informative and interactive session on how the third sector can best support vulnerable people and work together to address fuel poverty.

The session will run for two hours and will be split into two parts.

During the first hour of the event we will hear from three speakers from Changeworks, Home Energy Scotland and Dalkeith CAB. They will provide information on energy projects that their organisations run to support those in crisis, and how best the third sector can support vulnerable people struggling with increasing energy prices and fuel poverty. This will be followed by a Q&A, then a short break.

The second part of the event will be used as a space to discuss ideas for a partnership funding bid to the Investing in Communities Fund around fuel poverty. This is an opportunity for the third sector to highlight any gaps, missing resources, or new projects that could be addressed with a partnership bid. Please stay for this section of the event if you are interested in being part of the conversation.
