Being aware of our emotional state helps children: with Dr Suzanne Zeedyk
Children in Scotland
This event is in the past
We often talk about what children need in order to thrive. The science of attachment tells us that what they need, more than anything, is attuned adults and relationships that feel emotionally safe for them. In order to offer this to children, adults need to be self-aware and conscious of their own emotional regulatory rhythms.
This seminar will offer both knowledge and practice. It will explore what emotional regulation is and will reflect on why our culture tends to be so unaware of emotional influences on our everyday mindset and behaviour. You will leave the seminar inspired and eager to take these insights back to your own team.
