Join British Heart Foundation (BHF) for Live & Ticking – Living with Atrial Fibrillation.
Live & Ticking is a monthly online series that will keep you up-to date with the BHF's latest research news. Each event focuses on a different research project that we fund, all from the comfort of your own surroundings.
This month, Head of BHF Northern Ireland, Fearghal McKinney hosts the event and will be highlighting some of the BHF’s latest news and work taking place across the UK.
Chris Gale, Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and BHF-funded researcher at the University of Leeds will talk about his research into atrial fibrillation (AF) – a dangerous heart rhythm condition and a major cause of stroke.
We'll also be joined by Mike Matthews who was diagnosed with AF in 2006 after experiencing an irregular rhythm while in a gym. The ex-military bandsman will discuss living with AF and how the condition has impacted his life.
