Meet the Speakers:

Ally Zlatar - The Starving Artist

The Starving Artist empowers people through creative arts, highlighting lived experiences to drive systemic reform. We foster authentic and vulnerable engagement to promote change within current systems. Our innovation lies in platforming people-centered solutions, championing emerging voices to creatively explore their experiences. Ally Zlatar will discuss overcoming a severe eating disorder through art, founding The Starving Artist to amplify neglected voices, and using art for self-reflection, advocacy, and societal change.

Who are DataKirk and why is it important for female founders to feel inspired?

Datakirk launched AccelerateBLK in 2023 with a focus to help gain visibility for women enterpreneurs. Having completed an accelerator programme, the yet-to-be founders are eager to innovate, create impactful social solutions, and contribute to a diverse and inclusive economy, which will ultimately benefit the nation as a whole. Female founders will love to be inspired, particularly in sectors like social innovation where creativity, resilience, and leadership are paramount. Inspiration empowers women to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams with confidence and determination, driving them to overcome the unique challenges they face in the business world. By providing access to resources, mentorship, and a supportive community, we believe this initiative in collaboration with Melting Pot Edinburgh will help further close the gender gap in Scotland's entrepreneurial ecosystem. This programme will support individual growth and also help break down systemic barriers, paving the way for future generations of women in business.
