Verture, trading as Sniffer is offering a one-day climate resilience training workshop for third sector organisations. This training aims to boost climate resilience across Scotland’s voluntary organisations.
It's designed to provide the tools and knowledge needed to tackle both current and future impacts of climate change. The training will be run in a small group of ten to ensure plenty of time for conversation and exchange between the participants.
The workshop will include an introduction to climate resilience, hands-on exercises, and opportunities for participants to exchange knowledge and experiences.

This online workshop aims to boost climate resilience across Scotland’s voluntary organisations. The session will explore how climate change impacts, poverty, and inequality are linked, how these affect young people in Scotland, and what actions can be taken to support youth organisations and young people to build resilience to climate impacts in communities across Scotland.
Overall aimOrganisations face increasing risks from climate-related events like flooding, heatwaves, and storms. This training will help your voluntary organisation to build resilience and learn how to cope with the impacts of climate change.
Addressing climate change may seem like a massive challenge - it is complex and it isn’t easy to know where to start. But it is both crucial and possible to build resilience and adapt to the changing climate whilst tackling other important issues in your community.
By the end of the training, you will have:
- A checklist of climate risks relevant to your organisation and place
- Identified potential adaptation actions to make your organisation more climate resilient and address issues of poverty and inequality
- Explored opportunities to support people in your community to build resilience to climate change impacts
This online workshop is open to voluntary organisations operating anywhere in Scotland. The session will run online from 10am to 3pm with a break from 12pm to 1pm.
