Introducing Legacy and In-Memory Fundraising
Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector
Legacy and in-memory fundraising is becoming an increasingly significant source of voluntary income for a broader range of charities and causes. For organisations looking to grow their fundraising capacity, this comprehensive half-day course is the perfect introduction to developing a thoughtful and effective fundraising plan for legacy and in-memory giving.
Through practical guidance and real-life examples, learn how to integrate these income streams into your fundraising mix and set up campaigns that fit your size and resources. Get insight into donor motivations, legal and ethical considerations and how best to start meaningful conversations about gifts and donations with confidence and compassion.
Leave equipped to inspire giving, build lasting supporter relationships and identify simple actionable steps to take forward in your organisation.
By the end of this session you will be able to:
— understand how to approach legacy and in-memory fundraising
— consider some of the key legal and ethical issues involved
— introduce these methods into your fundraising plan and organisation
— explore ways to collaborate with external partners
— know where to find further help
Who should attend?
