LINKnet’s New “English for Employment” Programme
Under the above programme LINKnet have planned an English course that aims to improve writing and speaking skills, combined with employability skills development and knowledge and skills development in certain employment fields for job seekers to secure employment.
Eligibility criteria
1. You must be from a minority ethnic group. People from native English-speaking majority community are not eligible.
2. You must live within the city of Edinburgh
3. You must be over 18 years of age
4. Your English language skills must be between intermediate and upper intermediate levels or beyond
5. You must be actively seeking work (employment)
6. You must agree to work with an employment mentor
7. You must complete an application and a self-assessment form to be registered
Mode of teaching: Zoom online
Days: Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Classes: D and E and the Speaking Club
Level: Intermediate to upper intermediate or beyond
Times: Class D- Every Monday and Wednesday- 11 to12.30pm
Class E- Every Monday and Wednesday -1-2.30pm
Speaking Club -Every Friday-2-3.30pm
