Cosgrove Care has appointed Pauline Boyce as its head of operations. Cosgrove is a growing Scottish charity based in Glasgow and Pauline will lead its operational and service development. Pauline joins the organisation from the National Deaf Children’s Society where she was managed clinical network manager. Pauline has over 15 years experience in the voluntary and statutory sector where much of her focus has been on developing and improving social care services for children and young people. She also has experience in developing Scottish policy and practice and running campaign activity.

Andy Kerr is taking on the role of chair of Quality Scotland after Sir Andrew Cubie announced he is standing down from the post after 15 years. Andy is currently chief executive of Sense Scotland, a social care provider for children, young people and adults with communication support needs. Andy is a former MSP and Scottish Government health minister, an experienced quality assurance professional and founder of business transformation consultancy Achieving Quality.

Dunedin Canmore, one of Scotland’s largest housing associations, has appointed Hazel Young as its new managing director. Hazel was previously housing and customer service director at the Edinburgh, Lothian and Fife based association, which is part of the Wheatley Group. During a career in housing spanning more than 20 years, Hazel has worked in several senior management roles within Wheatley Group since 2008, including director of policy and service development at Wheatley and south area housing director at Glasgow Housing Association. She succeeds Ewan Fraser, who will retire at the end of the year as chief executive of Dunedin Canmore.
