Ed Byrne and Katy Brand head the bill for Barnardo's show
Some of television’s favourite comedians are uniting for a bumper night of comedy to help raise thousands for leading children’s charity Barnardo’s Scotland at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The Big Barnardo’s Comedy Benefit, which has raised over £34,000 in the last five years, takes place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Thursday 10 August from 8.30pm.
Packed with more than two hours of laughter, the benefit will preview some of the top Fringe shows including household names from television and stand-up: Milton Jones, Ed Byrne, Katy Brand, Jo Caulfield, Patrick Monahan, Sara Pascoe and Tape Face.
The show’s host and one of the youngest professional comedian’s on the scene, Tom Lucy, said: “I’m delighted to be asked to host this year. Barnardo’s Scotland is a brilliant charity and the line-up promises a great evening.”
Martin Crewe, director of Barnardo’s Scotland, said: “This fundraising comedy benefit is a great opportunity to see some of the best acts from this year’s Fringe.
"There is a fantastic line up and the money raised really will help to make a difference to the lives of thousands of vulnerable children and young people across Scotland.”
