Growing Up Is Never Easy (Parent / Carer Event)
Cyrenians Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution
This event is in the past
Are you a parent or carer? Looking to learn more about conflict resolution?
We were all young once and if we remember one thing about growing up, it’s this – it’s difficult. Difficult for the Young Person, of course – and difficult for their parents and carers too.
Cyrenians Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution can help parents and carers to understand and positively manage the journey from child to adult that the Young People in their lives are undertaking. We’ve created an online session ‘Growing Up is Never Easy’ especially for parents and carers of young people. The sessions stream live online and parents and carers can reserve free tickets. Each session is only 40 minutes long.
After the session, parents and carers will be able to:
Say you have a better understanding of the stages young people go through as they move through their teenage years
See clearer what your role is when it comes to managing these stages
Give Young People the support they need during their teens
The session will be delivered on the online platform Zoom by a member of the SCCR. If you book a place you’ll be sent the details on how to join the session close to the date of the event; a full PDF document with all the information you need to know will be emailed to you. This session is at an introductory level and no knowledge of the subject is required.
Please note: Zoom offers video capability so you can join with your webcam on, but this is entirely up to you and this option can be turned off. However, we would love to see your faces and feel it is a more interactive experience with videos on.
