Conflict Resolution Series- Cranial Cocktail

Cyrenians Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution

This event is in the past

Are you a young person (16-25)? Want to learn more about conflict resolution?

Ever get the feeling your body has mind of its own? Some days you can’t get out of bed and on others you’re so excited you can’t sleep, what is all that about? If we can understand what’s happening in our brains and minds, in our bodies and how we feel, then we can re-learn (re programme or re train the brain) to respond and react differently. This 45 minute online session created by Cyrenians Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution brings science and biology together in an informal but informative way using the SCCR’s digital resource as an introduction for self-study or a support resource. This session is free to reserve a place on.

Following the session, you will be able to:

- Recognise the connection between the feelings in our bodies and brains

- Understand the importance of the brain and body connection

- Understand the effects of neuro-chemicals on our mental and physical health

- Learning awareness of our emotional states through our awareness of our physical feelings

The session will be delivered on the online platform Zoom, by the SCCR trainer. If you book on to the session you will be sent the details on how to join nearer the time to the event when bookings have closed and a full PDF document with all the information you need to know will be emailed to you. This session is at an introductory level and no prior knowledge of the subject is required.

Please note Zoom offers video capability so you can join with your webcam on, but this is entirely up to you and this option can be turned off. However we would love to see your faces and feel it is a more interactive experience with videos on.
